I saw the picture that is posted and thought I would share it here. It is the definition of Thanksgiving printed on burlap from a printer . I loved this idea and think it would be a good reminder to read throughout the year not just on the holiday.
I am so grateful for all the things I have in my life and I thought I would share some of them here.
I am proud to be an American.
I am thankful that I have a job.
I am thankful that we have food to eat and a roof over our heads
I am thankful that my sister and my husband are my best friends.

I am thanful for my animals.
I am thankful for the beauty that surrounds me here in the Northwest.
I am thankful for my nephew and neice.

What are you Thankful for?

When you have come to the edge of all light that you know
& are about to drop off into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing one of two things will happen:

There will be something solid to stand on .

I'm thankful that I have friends and family whom I love and love me back. I am thankful that I have the right to live free and speak my opinion. I'm thankful I have the right to dissent. And, a little foolishly - I am thankful for really good coffee.

I am thankful that my parents, who are both 83, are still alive and very much in love.

I am thankful that we can pay our bills even though I was laid-off from my job 7 months ago.

I am thankful for my church and the anchor it gives my life.

Those are just a few of the things I am thankful for.

Thanks for visiting my blog too! I'm thankful for my lovely husband and kids, for other family and friends, for God, that is so much part of everyday-life, and for all the beauty He created.

Hi, Yolanda -- First, Happy (belated) Thanksgiving and thanks so much for coming by the Marmelade Gypsy. I am afraid I've been a bad blog visitor over the past few weeks between some family stuff, work and the art show. Hoping to catch up over the weekend!

And I'm loving the two books you reviewed above and below this post. I hadn't heard of either and now both are on my list (I AM a knitter, so I love knit-shop books!)

Much to be thankful for this year -- certainly blogging adn blog friends, my family, employment, a home, and that none of us have been in the hospital this year!
