The coast is getting it's first storm of the season today with 70 mile an hour winds. Here in the valley we have gotten gusts but not much else yet except rain. I wish I were on the coast to see the storm. We plan at some point this winter to go to the coast during a winter storm and storm watch . I love watching the magnificance of the weather.I took this photo from Ecola Point last winter that is Haystack Rock in the distance.
I have been reading a lot of late and have just finished Consumption by Kevin Patterson. I really enjoyed this book. Please check out my other blog (link in sidebar) for more info.
I am going to look for a part time job tommorrow.
I don't enjoy hunting for jobs and I don't think anyone does but we need the extra money right now. This will be in addition to my full time job as a nurse. I mention it only for this reason. When we moved out here we overextended ourselves and my husband didn't get the job that he needed to get but life often deals you a bad hand sometime and you just have to deal with it but despite all of this and the sacrifices we have made and will continue to make I don't regret moving here. I love the Northwest in a way that is hard to explain to others . The beauty and the landscape feeds my soul the way no other has. I never loved or felt as at home in MS where I have lived most of my life.It says a great deal to me that I will sacrifice and work so hard to stay here because of the love of this place I now call home.
Wish me luck!
