The Good and the Not so good:
These two pic's were taken along the Oregon coast.The good one is on our balcony at sunset last Tues. night and the not so good one is of me at Boiler Bay looking like the plump devil with horns sticking up on my head see the hair.LOL.
I took our dogs to the vet recently and she said to me knowing that we were moving,"It's great you get a fresh start not many people do." I took this to heart as I had already thought about it myself. I want to change some things in my life with this move. One of them is my lifestyle of eating and health.Now granted I will proably never be vegan but I want to live a healthier lifestyle.No one is to blame for my weight problem but me.I have always found comfort in food and this is my main problem and the fact I don't like excercise in the traditional sense. I like to walk and hike just not going to the gym type excercise.So I am putting it out here on the web that I want to change this area of my life. My goal will be two pounds a week.Since Yesterday and today are the mid points of the year I have 6 months to lose 60lbs.I am going to try.My fitness goal will be to do The Avon 3 day for breast cancer next summer.Now I may fail miserably but I am going to try.
I saw this on another blog and thought I would give it a try.

I have found a laundry product that will get even dried blood out. It is amazing Spray and Wash the Dual Power that has a bottle with two chambers. It really works you must try it.
I thought I would share a recipe for S'mores since it is the 4th.
White Chocolate and Berry Jam S'mores:
4 marshmallows
1 8oz. bar white chocolate
8 gingersnap cookies
4 Tbsp. berry jam any type
Toast your marshmallow,place white chocolate and marshmallow on one gingersnap and spoon jam over the marshmallow and sandwich between another gingersnap.

Another take on this is
use 4 marshmallows
4 chocolate mints
8chocolate wafer cookies
and prepare in the same way as above.
I have to work tommorrow but hope you all have a wonderful 4th.

again, love the photos...i cracked up at your devil horns!
with you on the weight thing....i not only use food for comfort but for any reason whatsoever (celebration, boredom, because it tastes so darn good!)
they say if you do something for 30 days it becomes a true habit so just think of doing this for a month and voila! the next 5 months will seem like a breeze...okay gonna try to join you on this after my inspirational speech. and you WON'T fail miserably! a day at a time...
