Flickr Favs because Feb isn't!

Flickr Favs because Feb. isn't!

These are my flickr favs from other members this month, Please go to Flickr for photo credit since I couldn't get it to upload with photo this time for some reason.

It's been a hard week and I just didn't feel like writing today. They are taking my sister in law off life support today and I know it is for the best but I am going thru such a range of emotions today and I think it is coupled with the fact that wed of last week was the anniversary of my dad's passing. It's just a hard month.

My prayers are with your family today.

I can see how you would not be into blogging, although I did like the pictures you chose to represent Feb- even if it isn't your fav!

Yolanda, I am so sorry to hear this news. Some years/seasons/months just seem harder than others, don't they? I hope you and your husband are able to grow even closer at this time...

My thoughts are with you, Yolanda. I have been where you are, and it isn't easy. Breath deeply, and care for yourself.

Oh, that is so hard for you all.

My dreaded month is August. All my most cherished loved ones have left me in August.
Be kind to yourself.

Yolanda, I am so sorry. My heart goes out to you. Some months are harder aren't they? You have been wearing your heart on your sleeve, been so caring and thoughtful. Your cup has been flowing over.

Your cup now needs to be filled. Be gentle with yourself. I wish I could hug you. It is so hard isn't it? When you love so deeply. I read a book after my dad had passed away. It said something like this... To grieve deeply, means you have loved deeply. To know this is a blessing in disguise. In fact that is what the book is called. Wonderful book. I don't think there is a page that isn't underlined, highlighted or a note of my own that I wrote. Great book. Would you like to read it? I can get you one.

((((Yolanda))))

I am praying for you and your family.

Hi Yolanda, I am so sorry about your sister in law and also that it is the anniversary of your dad's passing. I am thinking of you and send comforting wishes to you as the days go by this week.

P.s. I love your flickr faves. I especially like the hotel sign and the barn one.. and of course the ocean ones.

Oh Yolanda! I got my book out, and it isn't called a blessing in diguised... it is called A Grace Disguised ~ How the soul grows through loss by Gerald L. Sittser.

I read the title of the book and realized that I was wrong.

My prayers are also with you. Hang in there. The pictures was a small way to create some cheerfulness. This season and month tends to make it a bit worse. Hang on to this thought," Spring is coming!."

Wow, these are beautiful pictures.

I am so sorry for you. February is a hard month for me also. I lost my mother in 1993. Today would have been her 80th birthday

Take as much time as you need to do whatever seems best. You and your entire family are in my prayers in this time of sorrow and impending loss.
The photos are a lovely collection. Thanks for sharing. When you feel like blogging again, we'll all be here. FYI - I left something special for you at each of my blogs last Saturday.
Hugs and blessings,

"A season for everything" isn't particularly one of my favorite verses. But rest in knowing that Christ is with you and a new season is just around the corner. Blessings... Polly

Dear Yolanda, I am just getting over to thank you for stopping by... I will think of you this day and to come with these transitions that are so close to the heart. You say you have a labyrinth at work that you can walk, I hope you will have some time to use it. Walking the labyrinth has helped me in so many losses over the years. I can slow down enough to hear god speaking to my heart and let my prayers lift to the sky... much love to you and your family...

I can't blame you for not wanting to write during this trying time. Although your photo selections are quite cheery.
