photo above is by Erica Marshall

I love to find beauty in the unexpected places and on our walks with the dogs I often look for hearts in nature.I also find faces in the bathtub faucet(the eyes are the knobs, the nose the spout, and that metal thingy is the mouth).I know I am strange but what can I say.

The Simple Things that I am enjoying right now are:

The fragrance of roses in the autumn air.
The Harvest Moon in the sky at night.
The Yellow Butterflies as they flutter here and there.
The start of Football Season.
The beginning of the New Shows on TV{Criminal Minds, CSI and CSI NY}
The guilty pleasure of watching Project Runway on Wed nights.
The fog that lays across the earth like natures blanket early in the mornings when I go to work.
The smell of books -yes I must confess I am a book sniffer.
The small joy I get of adding new books to my ever growing TBR list.
The sight of woolly bears preparing for winter.
The smell of campfires.
The taste of the first homemade chili of this season.
The sight of apples on the trees ready for harvest.
The smile each of your comments give me.

The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything; they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.”

Hi Yolanda.

You are not alone in seeing faces in bathtub faucets, etc! Or finding hearts in the most unlikely places...it's a joy, isn't it! I find it so, anyway.

That's a lovely Simple Things list...I've been eating homemade chili all week; made some with black beans on the weekend. Yummy!

You have discovered some wonderful "simple" things to enjoy!

I like to look for faces in clouds and in my bathroom tiles!

Thanks for the visit Yolanda. I've not been blogging much of late, I'm having a dry spell as far as words are concerned! I'm sure it will pass!
I've never watched Project Runway but I am an avid fan of ANTM or any country really! I have been known to watch Austrailias and Britains! Ghost Whisperer is my fave oh and 90210. (I grew up with the gang from the first time around when there was a Beverly Hilss infront of the 90210!- I wanted England to have a high school like that one in BH!)
I will most definitely visit again!

I always find faces in hotel bathroom wallpaper! I have no idea why. I enjoyed your list.

The simple things are always wonderful....but so many times we pass them up and never notice. Beautifully written and I love the wishes above too. Thanks for those.

**I sniff books too and look for characters in the water as it collects on the shower curtain!**

:)Smile!

Book sniffer, moon lover here. The scent of a campfire in a dark wet forest is a favorite. Fine list. Made me smile.

That is a wonderful unexpected shot. I also love the one in the post after this in the mountains.

There's nothing quite like the smell of a used book store, is there?! It smells like a treasure hunt to me.

It was nice to read about the simple joys. Life doesn't have to be expensive. One can be rich if they just open up their eyes. You have reminded me of that.

I like the smell of books, too. My grandfather's house used to smell of cigarettes and books...and at age nine...I rather liked it.

Love the "found" heart! Good eye! You have a wonderful simple things list too.

I am using a borrowed computer in the building and have not put your name on my blogroll again so I won't lost track of you in the future. One day, I hope to get my computer fixed and updated or buy a new one. . .

I love watching Project Runway, and your list is delicious. I think I might have to write a list so as to stop and really appreciate
what life is all about :)

Love the list! It occurred to me it didn't include the "having of things", but was a litany of how you relish life. Refreshing!

Be blessed,
Kathleen

P.S. I have your same book idiocyncracies. :)

Ah, yes, I can almost smell the fragrance of roses on the air! The simple things are indeed the best.

All of those things...and the scent of yarn in the knitting shop!
The world is so full of delightful treats free for the noticing.

Love the heartshape.

I'm hooked on NCIS..with my teen age heart throb David McCallum. It is nice to see that as we have both aged, I still find his personality and looks engaging!

Yolanda, thank you for visiting my blog, and for your comment.

FYI, if you fill the tub very high with foaming bubble bath, the face will suddenly become Santa Claus, with his mouth lost in a white cloud of whiskers! Look out, though, 'cause he drinks the water. (I assume that metal thingy is the overflow drain...grin.)

I experienced two of your simple joys when I was out mowing Monday. I was at the side of the house, and was suddenly like, "What's that smell?" Next I realized that I had a fan in my study window blowing air out. The smell was of old books and roses...I hadn't known that I was sharing my simple joys with the neighbors. :-)
