I warn you you will cry when you watch this. It shows what a community can do when they come together to help someone.
I grew up about an hour from St . Jude and I know that they do the most wonderful work and every penny that is donated is used . I have had pediatric patients who went there and they never ask for a penny from the parents and they take patients with cancer from all over the world. It is a special place. I once had a mother who had one child at St. Jude with cancer and about a year into the treatment she found that the other child(they were twins) also had cancer and even though she was going through the most heart wrenching thing a mother could go through she still loved and was thankful for St. Jude.
I think the video conveys much more than my words ever could. The performer is a gospel/country musician from Nashville named Matthew West.You can go to his site and learn more of Dax's story and about this incredible artist.

Ok, so I am bawling my eyes out now. No child, no family, should have to go through this. St Jude's is one of the organizations that I have supported for a number of years. I hope everyone will find it in their hearts to give generously, not just at Christmas, but all year long.
My daughter called me crying after hearing this song on the radio.
This brought back some dreadful memories. My step sister's baby died at St Judes from cancer. They have done so very much for families that are facing such terrible things and we are grateful. Wishing no one else had to face this situation.
Yolanda, just wanted to let you know that the video did not upset me, just brought back some painful memories because of what happened in our family. I am very grateful for St Jude's as they were wonderful to our step sister and her family when it all happened. It is a good thing that you showed the video. Many would not know about them otherwise. You did a good thing.
So beautiful! It's sad that we need to see and hear about such struggles other people go through to put our lives into perspectives isn't it? St. Judes is indeed a wonderful organization.

I read your post yesterday, but put off watching the video until this morning. I have a son with health issues and it hit a little close to home. But thanks for posting it!

Yolanda, this was a very touching and heartfelt video of this young boy and the love he was shown by his family and community.
