Things I love about the Holiday Season:

The way the Christmas Tree looks with all the lights off.
A cup of Hot Cocoa.
Children on Santa's Lap.
Catching Snowflakes on your tongue.
The delight on peoples faces when they open gifts.
The Christmas Lights on the Trees Downtown.
Unwrapping treasured ornaments.
The Smell of Christmas dinner cooking.
Christmas Pageants at churches.
The beauty of the night sky on a clear cold winters night.
The smell of a Christmas candle.
The glow of candlelight.
Christmas carols on the radio.
Nat King Cole.
Christmas movies on AMC,Hallmark, TCM.
The Santa Watch on TV Christmas Eve.

I am so grateful to each of you who visit here old and new and feel the following quote speaks as to how I see each of you and the value of each of you to me.

“At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” ~Albert Schweitzer~

So true! Thank you for your friendship through the time we have blogged. You definitely were there when my light felt like it went out when our son-in-law died nearly two years ago. Your friendship and support was awesome! Hope you have the best-est of holidays!

I love that quote; I'd never read it before. But it is so true! One little smile, comment, or kindness can ignite the flame again.

Christmas: I love the music. Twinkling lights make me smile. Catching up through yearly letters always make me happy.

I love your entire list and I agree with everything on it (well, I'm not a Nat King Cole fan)! A tree on with all the rest of the lights off is right at the top of my list!

Thanks for reminding me to stop by, Yolanda. I haven't been visiting blogs much lately. Nice quote and picture.

Yolanda, that is one of the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen. I love the red and white. Yes, my favorite Christmas joy is going to church and celebrating mass by candlelight. I hope your season is merry and bright.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I love Goodreads don't you?~~Dee

Yesterday a neighbor and I were discussing technology and she remarked that blogging has improved our sense of community. I believe this to be true, and more so after visiting your blog. Thanks for the comment on mine also and hope to continue sharing thoughts.

Yolanda I love the quote, and I love your list. Thanks for your comment on my blog today. I did notice that you are an RN. I was wondering if you have heard of Cataplexy and if you have seen anyone with the symptoms...sorry to ask I have just found so few people that have ever heard of it. I have it explained on my blog at the top. I love the name of your blog btw. Perfectly Imperfect. just lovely.
take care and be well. hugs.

I love that last saying, how someone else rekindles the spark within us. I sure could use that right about now!
