Wishes or Weeds

When you look at this photo do you see a weed or the beginning of a milkweed that you can blow on to get wishes? I see a vessel for wishes.
I wish I could blow on it right now and make the people of Japan's life a lot easier. It just breaks my heart to see what all the people and animals of Japan are going through. I encourage everyone to do as much as they can to help these people who have suffered such a tragedy.
Do you ever have days that you just wish that you hadn't gotten up? Today was one of those days for me .It seemed today that I could do nothing right and I had myself a good cry. It seems that sometime we have to go in a quite place and just let it all out and scream or cry to get your frustration out and I think that rather than it being a bad thing it can be a good thing like a cleansing for the soul.I did that today . It didn't necessarily make the problems go away but I felt better about them.
I do know though that any problem I have pales in comparison to what those in Japan are going through and that definitely puts everything in perspective and makes me feel incredibly lucky.
In less than a week on March the 24th this blog will be 5 years old. I can't believe it.I haven't been the most prolific and I certainly don't have the biggest fan base but for 5 years I have come back here to share my thoughts and photos. In celebration of its birthday I will be hosting a giveaway next week of some sort and I hope you will come by Monday to see what it is. I wish I could give away cameras and I pads like a lot of the bigger blogs but alas that isn't in my budget.
I hope that you all have a wonderful rest of St. Patrick's Day.
Looking forward to Idol tonight? Who is your favorite this year?

Five years! Wow, I'm so impressed! I also think that crying is a good thing sometimes. I think it is hard not to cry right now watching the news.

As for Idol...I didn't like anyone last night. I liked Paul best to begin with, but he isn't impressing me as much as he did and I think Pia just may have the complete package.

Your photo is beautiful Yolanda! And yes, I've had days too where I would have preferred to stay in bed and cover up my head.

I didn't get into Idol this year. I miss Simon! :(

Sending hugs,
xo Catherine

Well, I am glad you kept blogging because I never even heard of a blog until a year and a half ago. You have blessed my life and I am so thankful for your thoughts that I read.
I am touched you have been so sad about Japan as It seems so hard for me too and I wish the same things. They are constantly on my mind and I know my family is tired of me talking about it all the time. So now I just sit and pray for them and count my blessings and you know the hardest thing about my life right now is how incredibly shallow and complaining I am.
Thank you so much for your insights and I will be back. :)
Blessings upon blessing on you my dear friend.

HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY, Yolanda... 5 years is big! I'll soon be blogging 5 years too. :o) And I definitely see the wishes & possibilities in the milkweed! I've almost had to stop watching the news... I just cry all the time if I do. My prayer are still flying though to Japan... St. Patrick's Day is easy for us to remember as it's our wedding anniversary! Hubby & I celebrate 11 very happy years. And no, we neither of us have Irish heritage--just worked out for getting hitched on the 17th March... LOL! Happy Days ((HUGS))

You are not alone. We all have days, sometimes weeks of feeling just like you did today....and this too shall pass.
My heart bleeds for Japan and any and all victims of tragedies. We do not understand them and sometimes it is not meant for us to know why bad things happen until the right time. His time, not ours!

Idol---yep, loving it, so many great stars within themselves. My faves are Lauren and Scotty, with Haley running real close behind them. Although Haley is being kept in the bottom 3 each week, I love her style and voice!

I pray you have a great weekend with many blessings~

If there is any good to be found in tragedy, it may be the fact that it makes us more humble and grateful. I am glad that your tender, beautiful heart got a spring cleaning. Thanks for sticking with your blog!

It boils down to perspective, doesn't it? One man's weed is another man's wish. I like that.

Congrats! Five years is a long time to reside in Bloggerville.

I don't watch Idol except when someone from Arkansas is on there. I like Surviver and Crimial Minds
I cry almost everyday. It does make me feel better. In less it is a really bad day and I can't stop crying than I kind of make myslef sick. Those are not good cry days. But the little cries are good. Congrats on 5 yrs.

Hi Yolanda,

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving a comment!!!! That allowed me to find your blog as well! Gorgeous photo and I loved what you wrote about Japan. It's been horrible to read what they are going through over there, the death tolls that rise everyday. Two of my puppy buyers are from Japan and the translator who came with them, all amazingly beautiful people who I care deeply about...I've been so worried about them but they told me they are ok, as well as can be expected after the tragedy over there!

Congratulations with five years of blogging! Wow, I don't know if I'd have that much to say but then again...maybe I would- we'll see in time!!! You're on the pacific northwest, what would that say? I have sent a pup to Seattle..Small world eh?

Have a gorgeous Saturday, the sun is shining here in Norway and we must go OUT!!!
All the best from Amy at Eventyrhus :-)

I understand needing a good cry. I've had those days too many times!

This photo brings back memories for me..my girls were constantly making wishes and blowing 'them out'.

I've enjoyed reading your blog. Thank you for stopping by and following mine! I'll be back to read more!

Thanks for sharing your heart, both for Japan and also about those difficult days. I agree, a good cry can be a great help. I think God lets us use our tears to express what words can't. I pray you're feeling better.

Congratulations on keeping your blog for five years! That is great!

thanks for visiting our blog (a corgi in Southern California) and your kind comment! How exciting that your blog will be five years old! that is an accomplishment indeed!

It is sad about the people in Japan; just as there has been so much other pain and suffering in Haiti after that devastating quake and in New Zealand as well as countless other tragedies. We help as we can, pray for them, and those who have a faith in God just trust in him :)

good luck with your giveaway!

Hello Yolanda!
Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting this week. Congratulations on 5 years of blogging. I understand how hard it can be sometimes to find the time to post; and then to put something into words that will touch others. I don't blame you for wanting to go south. I'm not from there, I'm a native Pacific Northwesterner; but I love the music, the manners, the religion, and the friendliness of southerners. Just do us all a favor and keep the blog going if you move!

Hi Yolanda,
Thanks so much for stopping by and introducing yourself. Congratulations on 5 years of blogging. And to think I'm just now discovering you.
The news from Japan is overwhelmingly sad. I think it is a healthy thing to have a good cry now and then. You are so right, it doesn't change things but it usually makes us feel better.
I'm off to become one of your followers.

They say a good cry will realeas stress hormones. I think we all need to do that once in a while.
I like the idea of making wish's with the milk weed.

Congrats on your 5 years, Yolanda!
When I look at that beautiful picture, I too see a vessel full of wishes. I wish you a beautiful day and the people of Japan strength, courage and comfort in these incredibly hard days.

Congratulations on Five years of blogging, simply wonderful!

Japan certainly has been on the hearts of many. I am sending big hugs through prayer. It has been difficult seeing the images of so much suffering.

I love your photo, quite pretty.:o) Happy week to you.
