This is what the Oregon Coast has looked like this week on Monday I think the winds got to 90 mph.It has felt very wintry this week . It is hard to believe Thanksgiving is next week. I have to work but will spend the day after hopefully with my hubby.
I went for a job interview for a part time job today . I hate job interviews but they are a part of life. I feel really old when I tell them I have been a nurse for 23 yrs but I guess I am getting old even Donny Osmond is getting old.LOL.
Last Friday The Osmonds were on the Oprah show I watched the show and really enjoyed it. They have such a strong family and faith that is inspiring. Donny said he would be 50 this year and is a grandpa. I remember when I was a tween and had the biggest crush on him. I would eagerly anticipate spending my allowance on Tiger Beat magazine. He turned out the best of my tween crushs. The others were Leif Garrett(who never it seems got past his teen idol status),Scott Baio (who is 45 and still can't committ to a marriage) and Shaun Cassidy(who I know produces films but you never here of him). It was amazing to watch their family and to know that from two parents came 8 kids and of their children there are a 100 grandchildren and their kids. The Osmonds are doing a tour in the UK in 2008 and have already sold it out.
Tonight I will be watching the new season opener of Project Runway. I really like this show and the creativity exhibited in it.

Ah, Terrible Tilly! One of my favorite lighthouses, mostly, I think, because of her name! It is raining and blowing again here tonight, but not like Sunday night. Just a mild little storm this evening...

Interesting current information about the Osmonds. The movie about their lives is played every now and then on late night TV in Hungary. They certainly didn't have an easy life either but met the challenges and grew stronger for the experience. Which is what challenges are supposed to do for us. :)

Ugh. That looks like awful weather on Monday. I'm glad I convinced hubby to stay in Mac and not work on his construction project on the coast that day!

I read your comment on my blog site and thank you very much for the offer of help. This is one of the many reasons I want to move to a more rural area. People are friendlier and more willing to help others. That is how I grew up and I miss it terribly. I love Oregon. My daughter, Lisa, and her family are the main reasons we want to relocate though. But I love it up there. I have been up there to visit(I really can't remember exactly how many times, about 7 or 8 times I believe).
I read your previous post about country music. I didn't grow up listening to it but I have listened to it for about 15 years or so and the main thing I like about it is that alot of it is about real life. I like alot of other types of music too except for rap and heavy metal.

Ah the Osmond brothers.....Donny, wee Jimmy (Long haired lover from Liverpool!) and not forgetting sweet Marie of course. A trip down memory lane, how lovely on a wintery night.

Donny has been over in the UK regularly over the past few years and its amazing how after all these years, he seems just the same......so young and unspoilt.

He has a great sense of humour - he was 'interviewed' on a spoof interview chat show called 'The Kumars at Number 42' on BBC television a couple of years ago. It was hilarious but he was really up for the teasing and the send ups they did.

Thanks for the memory :-)

Isn't it incredible how years creep on us when we're not looking?! For me it's seeing kids I used to babysit, married and having kids of their own....ooph!

Hey...I was tagged to do a blog project and I thought it might be kind of fun to send it on to you too!

It's called Seven Random Things
The rules:

1. link to the person who tagged you:
2. Post the rules.
3. List seven random things about yourself.
4. Tag seven random people (including links to their blogs at the end of the post)
5. Let each person know that they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Have fun!
