Ten Thoughts for Whole Living

Fade Into Night

I found this in an old Body and Soul magazine and think it is a good guide for the holiday season and the year to come.

The spirit of Optimism lets your body thrive.

Eat when you're hungry.Take pleasure in food.

Be wary of the "shoulds."They sap your energy
and narrow you vision.

Stretch as well as strengthen-find symmetry in balance.

Rather than avoid, engage with resistance.

Use your money as a tool for putting your values to work.

Mindfulness is the mother of insight and joy.

Personal power grows with compassion, not aggression.

Do less. Enjoy more. You only have this moment.

Nourish your bliss. It lays the fondation for what is to come.

Have a Wonderful Weekend.

"nourash your bliss".. aw yes..thank you.

I have to tell you, more and more the past few days, I've been seriously thinking of selling my house and moving to Oregon. Seriously. I've just about got my kids on board. My husband's for it.

We have to have jobs tho, and a sold house. Minor things.

Thanks for calling by at my blog Yolande. (I was in Stockholm).
I like reading about the books you've read. Some of which I may well look out for when I'm back in the UK.

Lovely photograph ... and wonderful reminders here. I'm not sure which to hold on to first ...
*be wary of shoulds
*mindfulness leads to insight & joy
*do less ... enjoy more
Methinks I'll make a copy to post near my computer ... just because ;--)
Thanks for sharing!
Hugs and blessings,

Y-

Such words of wisdom. "Yes" to all of them! I love the one about compassion's breeding power.

Loving the "nourish your bliss"! This list is just the thing for now...and for keeping in mind for the new year ahead! More bliss nourishing...I could go for some of that! Happy Days :o)

WOW -- this is wonderful. I am going to print those out and STARE at them every day! lol

THanks for visiting my blog, I hope you come back regularly. I don't know if you know I have three like you, and took a look or not. One is about animals and the other is a place that's been overrun by my gift ideas, but it is a catch all place where I write about pop culture, put up little poems or verse, much like you did in this post, etc...

I'll be back again.

Hello, Yolanda, thanks for coming by to visit my blog. This is a beautiful photo! I can almost go there just by gazing at it. I love the "use your money as a tool to put your values to work." We are only stewards, after all!

I need all of this advice today, a day I woke up at 2:30 a.m. from anxiety for the work day ahead at school. Thanks.
